JL Circus

Join this inspirational community of young people taking part in our free circus and drama activity

Funded by Children in Need

Expect to drop balls, fall off pyramids, get dizzy doing forward rolls, trip over skipping ropes and accidentally knock a neighbour with your diablo.

At JL Circus we laugh through the tricky times and support each other to keep going. During our sessions we build the confidence needed to keep picking that ball up off the floor and juggle with whatever this world has to throw at us.

We are an inclusive youth circus, open to anyone who dares, and dedicated to finding and supporting the activity that suits you. Whether it’s team work or solo, stilt-walking or plate-spinning, centre stage or behind the scenes, we believe everyone can find their place and bring something magical to our awesome groups of young circus artists.

JL Circus workshops are free, delivered by professional circus artists, open to young people aged 4-18, and take place in venues across Haringey.

JL Circus this Summer – Summer Stories

We’re thrilled to announce that this summer JL Circus and Collage Voices are teaming up to offer young people in Haringey a first of its kind project.

We’re bringing together professional circus, movement and sound artists to work with participants to create a show in 7 days.

Young people will get the opportunity to try out impressive circus tricks, choreograph movement, design a soundtrack, and showcase their incredible work to friends and family at the end of summer.

  • Free to attend
  • No previous experience of circus required
  • Open to young people aged 8-18

The project will take place August 18-20th and August 25-28th, 10am-4pm at McQueens Theatre: 4 Coburg Road, Wood Green, N22 6UJ

After the Zoom session they would usually be buzzing about the games, the new tricks they had learned and were always a bit sad it was already over.
